Margaret’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Margaret Elizabeth St. Croix (nee Aucoin), announce her peaceful passing on Thursday, October 20th, 2022 at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL at the age of 91 years.
Margaret was the daughter of the late Narcis and Julia Aucoin (nee Gale). She was also predeceased by her brothers; Hughie, James (Edna), Murdock, Hector (Bridget), Johnny, Arthur, Raymond, Anthony (Alieen), sisters; Helen, Gertrude, Marie (Brian) and son-in-law; Ernest Kuffner.
She leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories her loving husband; Francis St. Croix, children; Owen (Sharon) St. Croix, Trudy Kuffner, Gertrude (Robert) O’Quinn, she leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Margaret also leaves behind her siblings; Josephine (John) Farris, Celestine Barkhouse, sisters-in-law; Barbara O’Quinn, Margaret Aucoin, Lucy Aucoin, Sadie St. Croix, Margaret St. Croix, brothers-in-law; Garret (Ita) St. Croix, Fintan (Mary) St. Croix, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A special thank-you to her homecare workers; Marilyn Gale and Angela Gale also a special thank-you to the doctors and staff at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Long Term Care facility. Your compassion and care will be remain in our hearts forever.
A private family visitation will be held on Sunday, October 23rd from the St. Sylvester’s Roman Catholic Church in South Branch. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, October 24th, at 11 a.m. from the St. Sylvester’s Roman Catholic Church in South Branch officiated by Father A. Prakash. Interment will follow at St. Sylvester’s Roman Catholic Cemetery in South Branch. Flowers are gracious accepted or donations in Margaret’s memory can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
