Grant – The death
occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, October
3, 2022, of Gerald « Gerome » B. Grant, of Summerside, aged 86
years. Retired member of the Canadian Armed Forces. Born in Fox River,
NS, he was the son of the late Leonard and Media (Sweet) Grant.
Beloved husband for 63 years of Geraldine (Noonan) Grant; dear father
of Catherine (John) Adamski, Lower Sackville, NS; Carolyn (Pierre)
Cote, Orleans, ON; and Donna Grant (the late Alan Arsenault),
Summerside, PE; sister Lois Legere, Toronto, ON; 7 grandchildren; 7
great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews Gayle Mueller, Summerside, PE;
P.J. Legere, Toronto, ON; Bobby Grant, Halifax, NS; Wayne
MacGillivray, Bible Hill, NS; Darlene (Matthew) Croft, Wolfville, NS;
and Lori Livingston, Riverview, NB; brothers-in-law Dr. James
(Barbara) Noonan, Moncton, NB; and Arthur (Leslie) Noonan, Summerside,
PE; sisters-in-law Marjorie (George) Lecky, Summerside, PE; and Lois
Noonan, Summerside, PE. Predeceased by brothers Doug Grant, Halifax,
NS; James A. Grant, Kentville, NS; Joseph Grant, Parrsboro, NS;
Kenneth Grant, Toronto, ON; and Carroll D. Grant, Calgary, AB; sisters
Carmetta Sweet, New Ross, NS; Shirley MacGillivray, Bible Hill, NS;
and Margaret Allen, Amherst, NS. Resting at Moase Funeral, Summerside
until Friday, then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, for
Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. Interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery,
Summerside. No visiting hours by personal request. In lieu of flowers,
memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or Hospice
PEI would be appreciated.
