Odilon Chevarie
1939-2022
SAINT-CHARLES, NB – Odilon Chevarie, 83, passed
away peacefully at home on Sunday, September
25th, 2022. Born in Saint-Charles, he was the
son of the late Fidèle and Marie-Jeanne (Thibodeau)
Chevarie. Odilon worked for many years as a roofer for Boudreau Sheet
Metal and more recently, until his retirement, as a bartender at the
Kent Lake Lodge.
In his spare time, Odilon loved playing harmonica, playing
crib, hunting, and fishing. He was very well known and loved in his
community. He adored his great grandchildren and loved spending time
with them.
Odilon leaves to mourn his loving wife, Louise (Leger)
Chevarie; his daughter, Lise Richard (Gerald) of Saint-Ignace; his
son, Rheal Chevarie (Sonia) of Saint-Louis-de-Kent; as well as his
grandchildren, Karina, Gaetan, Kristelle and Mylene and his
great-grand-children, Skyelar, Sophia, Brayden and
Kaisyn.
Odilon will also be sadly missed by his four sisters, Bella
Arsenault (Emerie), Jeanne Doucet (Louis), Edna Thibodeau (late
Donat), all of Dieppe and Dorice Cormier (Léo) of
Bouctouche; his brother, Antoine Chevarie (Edna) of Saint-Charles; his
three sisters-in-law; Geneva of Saint-Charles, Regina of Shediac and
Maria-Esther of Richibucto; as well as by his many nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, Odilon was predeceased by his sister,
Viola and five brothers, Gerard, Lionel, Camille, Leo-Paul and
Roger.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The funeral
mass will be celebrated Friday, September 30th,
2022 at 4:00 pm, Saint-Charles-Borromée Roman Catholic
Church, Saint-Charles.
