Benjamin Chester Gibson of Howick Township passed away at Fordwich Village Nursing Home on Thursday, September 15, 2022, in his 95th year.
Beloved husband of the late Edith (Blanchard) Gibson. Dear father of Gale & Bob Pearson of Fergus, Gwen & Don Patterson of West Montrose, Linda & Steve Taylor of Fordwich, Harvey & Dina Gibson of R.R. 2, Gorrie, and Heather & Shaun Joy of London. Grandfather of Nathan & Michelle Patterson of Elmira, Mandy & Johnny Wilson of Elmira, Nick & Jess Patterson of Kitchener, Megan Taylor of Wingham, Stephanie & Jeff Drost of Belgrave, Kristen Taylor & Ralph Cabusas of Toronto, Tamara Schumacher & Steve Smith of Gorrie, Sheena & Tony DeBlock of Bornholm, Wade & Ashley Gibson of Gorrie, Ben Gibson & Carla Rooyakkers of Gowanstown, Samantha Joy of Listowel, and Brenden Joy of Thamesford. Great-grandfather of Cohen, Brylee, Gavin, Marissa, Brooke, Hunter, Serena, Rosie, Addison, Gabrielle, Josephine, Evan, Ava, Blake, Evan, Lucas, Payten, Joel, Jaide, Amelia, and Kaycee. Brother of Bob & Ruth Gibson of Fordwich, and Marguerite McRae of Moorefield.
Predeceased by his sister Leone & Kelly Carswell, brothers Clarence & Betty Gibson, Blake & Mabel Gibson, Frank & Shirley Gibson, and brother-in-law Stan McRae.
Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A private funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church, Listowel on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Fordwich Cemetery. The service will be live-streamed.
