With profound sadness, the family of Richard James Tees would like to announce his sudden passing on Sunday, August 28, 2022. Richard was born to Gregor Donald Tees and Wenonah Eleanor Tees (née Thomson) in Victoria, British Columbia on September 22, 1956.
Richard was loved by all he met throughout his life, he will be remembered by his daughter, Sarah Weedon; grandson, Matthew Ayele; sister, Sandra Smith; sister-in-law, Anne Marie Tees; stepdaughters; Nicole Peglaro and Kimberley Weedon; nieces, Christine Adam (Cory); nephews, Jeff Tees and Mike Smith; great-nephew, Quinton Adam; as well as all the many dear cousins, and special friends near and far. He was predeceased by his brother Douglas Gordon Tees and brother-in-law Jim Smith.
Richard had a successful career in the trucking industry for more than 20 years. He was excited as he headed into the joyful season of retirement. He will be remembered for his love of music, cooking, and gardening.
A Memorial Service will be held at Pierson’s Funeral Service (4121 – 17 Ave. S. E., Calgary, AB) on Friday, September 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.
