It is with
great sadness that we announce the passing of Lorraine Elsie Hennifent
(Woodman) at the age of 75 on August 31, 2022, after a short
courageous battle with cancer.
Lorraine Hennifent, passed peacefully away at the
Miller Centre, palliative care unit on August 31, 2022 in the presence
of her loving family.
Predeceased by her husband, Mike Hennifent; Parents
Robert and Dora Woodman; Mother and Father in-law, Augustus and Nellie
Hennifent; Brother-in-law, Clem Crocker; Sister-in law, Ann
Power.
Leaving to
mourn with loving memories Children: Tina (André), Michael
(Kelly), and Mark. Grandchildren: Annika, Alliya, Chloe, and Jaden.
Brothers: Albert, Bob (Linda), Ron (Renee), Wayne (Roberta), and John.
Sisters: Edna (Roland), Linda (Terry), Marilyn (John), Kathy (Eric),
and Judy (Alonzo); and, Loving Partner Kinsley Welsh. Also
left to mourn a large circle of nieces and nephews, cousins and
friends.
Lorraine was
a hair stylist for 25 years owning her business. She loved
to
garden, making it beautiful
each summer; she knit and crocheted hats and socks to donate to the
Janeway each year; she enjoyed making quilts; and she participated in
many local activities and groups. You would never catch Lorraine
outside without looking beautiful – hair, makeup,
nails!
The family
would like to express their deepest gratitude to Kinsley for his
support caring for Lorraine during her illness, Support Workers at TLC
Home Care and to the doctors and nursing staff involved with
Lorraine’s care.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher’s Funeral
Home, Placentia. Visitation to take place on Thursday,
September 1st from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Funeral
Service to take place 11am on Friday, September 2nd at St. Martin’s
Anglican Church, Dunville. Interment to follow at Dermot
McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast
Placentia.
