SHAMAS, Bob
Robert Thomas Shamas passed away with his family by his side on August 25th, 2022 at the age of 75.
Bob was predeceased by his parents Fred and June Shamas. He is survived by his loving wife Laurel of 50 years, children: Robin Shamas, Rob Shamas and Ashley Shamas (partner Jason Major) and grandchildren: Aiden Giovanatti and Ashtyn Schellekens.
Laurel will always treasure memories of Bob as a fun loving and hard-working family man. His children will remember him as a strong, honest, selfless and supportive Dad. He was a proud and loving grandfather. Bob was an Ontario Hydro Forester for 25 years, then owner/ operator of 4 Seasons Septic Service. He was passionate about humane fur trapping and wildlife conservation. Among his final endeavors was the completion of the Lake Matinenda camps for his children and grandchildren to enjoy.
Visitation will take place at Menard Funeral Home, Blind River between 2pm – 4:30 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2022.
Donations can be made in his honour to the ALS Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto.
