Obituary
Glenn Larkin
This “Larger than Life” character lost his battle with heart disease on August 15, 2022 at the age of 61. Predeceased by his father Henry Larkin and father-in-law Larry Morris.
Left with profound sadness but wonderful memories are his wife, partner and best friend of 44 years, Lynn and his mother Ann Larkin.
Glenn comes from a large and gregarious family with a sister and brothers Rae-Anne (Yuri), Keith (Thelma), Craig (Agnes), Brent (Judy) and Darryl (Charmaine). He also leaves with fond memories nieces and nephews Annette (Neil), Steven (Sammi Jo), Ross (Celeste), Gabby and Eli, great nephews Ethan, Henry, Jack and Draven; his “Aunts” Merle and Ruth Mercer, mother-in-law Rosemary Parsons (Vic), brother-in-law Jason Morris (Angela); his dear friend Charlene Ivany and his “Little Buddy” Nicholas Ivany.
Glenn loved to be around people and will be dearly missed by numerous friends including “The Gang” in St. John’s, many friends in Brigus, friends across the country in the Royal LePage network where he worked for 34 years, as well as those he met while working in the family business, Henry’s Lunch.
We are very grateful for the support received from special friends in Ottawa and St. John’s over the past few months. Sincere thanks to Dr. Sean Conners and Dr. Marc Ruel (Ottawa) for their incredible work and support, as well as the numerous other health care professionals who contributed to his care in Ottawa and St. John’s.
He was a big kid at heart and had a special way with all the kids in his life who he encouraged to call him ‘Fathead’ or ‘Silly Man’.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 31st from 5 to 8 pm at the Admirals Green Clubhouse, Pippy Park. Donations may be made in his memory to the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation www.royallepage.ca/en/realestate/about-us/shelter-foundation/
