Obituary
Lisa Marie Whelan “Wheels” – passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 10th 2022 at her home in Georgetown surrounded by her family. She was born in Bracebridge, Ontario to her loving parents Kirsten Simmons and the late Terry Simmons on May 30, 1971.
Lisa is survived by Gary, her cherished soul mate and husband of 30 years, her beloved children; Jessica (Jillian) Mac Vicar, Jordan Whelan (Brittney Crilly) and Jasmine Whelan (Shannon Alcaidinho), her adored grandchildren Grayson and Cameron Mac Vicar, her loving Mother Kirsten (Jim Tanner) and dear sister-in-law Debbie Cormier.
Lisa will be forever remembered by her family as a person whose presence was larger than life and for the unconditional love she expressed towards her family and friends. Lisa always knew how to light up a room, her joy was contagious and her quick sense of humour will be fondly remembered.
Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown (905) 877-3631 on Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon. A celebration of Lisa’s life will follow in the chapel at 12:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Trafalgar Room. Memorial contributions to Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills (CASHH) would be appreciated.
