Obituary
Timothy (Tim) David Watson, age 71, died on Sunday, July 17 at his home in Enderby, BC.
He was born in Abbotsford, BC, on July 18, 1950 to George and Kathleen Watson (nee Harrison), the third child of eight.
Tim was a serious and hardworking person who made an impression on everyone he met. He had a cheeky sense of humour and liked to tease those he loved the most.
He spent his childhood on a dairy farm, then entered the oil and gas industry after getting married and starting a family. This career allowed him to travel throughout BC and Alberta, as well as other parts of the world, including The United Kingdom and Iran.
His first love was always farming, so in 1980 the family moved to Falkland where they lived for the next decade, carving out a homestead with cattle and hayfields. He purchased a forested property that allowed him to explore his love of nature, and expand his skill set to include forest management. His greatest pride was having people visit the property and say “I thought you said you’d logged this?”
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, brother Matthew. He leaves behind his children, Melanie (John), Spencer (Robyn), Tina (John) and Devon, along with grandchildren Jager (Kalyn), Megan (Decklyn) and Morgan, and his siblings Kelly (Leah), Nancy, Andy (Trudy), Jean (Greg), Sally (Ken) and Sam (Sharon). He also leaves behind many valued friends from every era of his seven decades.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, July 24, 2022, 1-4 pm at the Enderby Legion, 909 Belvedere Street, Enderby, BC.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a kindness is extended to someone in your community. This type of benevolence was a common occurrence for Tim, who gave the shirt off his back time and time again.
