Catherine Imogene Chrisman Bean – age 94 left Knoxville, TN to go home to be with her Lord on Thursday, July 7, 2022. This sweet, talkative, precious lady loved her Lord, her family, and listening to gospel music. She was a lifelong member of John Sevier Baptist Church. Imogene delighted in loving, and sometimes spoiling, her granddaughters and great grandchildren. Having a kind personality led many to instantly love her.
Preceded in death by husband of 68 years, James H. Bean, Sr.; parents, James A. and Ida J. Strange Chrisman; brother, W.L. Chrisman; sisters, Zelma Potts, Pearl Edmonds, Louise Fox, and Mildred Brady.
Survived by sons, James “Jim” H. Bean, Jr., Dennis (Valarie) Bean, and Steven Bean; granddaughters, Leslie Allen and Ashley (Ryan) Burress; great grandchildren, Cadin Lane, Rylin Lane, Eliza Allen; sister, Maleta Fain; several nieces and nephews; special lifelong friend, Marlene Webb; and many other friends. Special thanks to the caring angels at Trinity Hills Assisted Living Memory Care Unit for their compassionate care of our Mom.
The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Bridges Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 7:00 PM with Pastor Alan Smith officiating. Family and friends will gather 2:45 PM on Sunday at French Broad Church of the Brethren Cemetery for a 3:00 PM interment.
