With celebration of a life well-lived, we the family, announce the passing of Gerald “Gerry” Theriault of Bathurst which occurred on Wednesday June 8th, 2022 at the Robert L. Knowles Veteran’s Unit, at the age of 89.
Born in Bertrand, he was the son of the late George and Blanche (Haché) Theriault.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Luana (Furlotte).
His siblings: Irène Pitre (late Norbert) of Beresford, Raymond Thériault (late Annette) of Bathurst, Andy Thériault (Norma) of Niagara Falls, ON, Augustin “Gus” Thériault (Nancy), Florence Young (late Michael) both of Beresford, Georges Thériault (Nancy) of Bathurst and Rose-Marie Bernard (Gilles) of Charlo.
Sisters-in-law: Anne Thomas and Judy Daigle both of Bathurst.
Several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Florella “Flo” Drisdelle, a brother-in-law, John Furlotte and a sister-in-law, Maurita Bourque.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at a date and time to be announced.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Robert L. Knowles Veteran’s Unit for the excellent care given to Gerry.
Donations in memory of Gerry may be made to the Robert L. Knowles Veteran’s Unit or a charity of your choice. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
