Obituary
Thomas “Tom” Dean Sawatzky of Cache Creek passed away peacefully at Marjorie Willoughby Memorial Hospice at the age of 67 on January 7, 2022.
Tom was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on December 7, 1954.
He was predeceased by his parents Mary & John Sawatzky, his ex-wife Cathy (Bylik) Sawatzky, his siblings Laura Lee, Shirley, Mary, John and Lenard.
Tom is remembered by his daughter Caryn Laura Browett (Dale) of Cache Creek and his many friends. He was a self-employed worker doing house painting, construction, caretaking and repairs for others.
Tom was one of 15 children. His interests included collecting movies and DVDs, cooking feasts for his family and friends. He loved walking, visiting, helping others, laughing, and telling stories, and drinking beer.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice in Kamloops, or the BC SPCA.
