Obituary of Peter Lane
Lane, Peter Wilfred – 75 of Windsor, it is with profound sadness and eternal love that we announce the passing of Peter on Saturday, May 28th, 2022, at his home in Windsor. Born in Windsor on November 14th, 1946, Peter was the son of the late Wilfred and Laura (Hughes) Lane.
Peter loved to entertain and tell stories whether true or fiction. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. Peter worked at Pothier Motors in Windsor for many years, but his true passion was working on the farm with his horses.
Peter is survived by his wife Sandra (Rennie) Lane of Windsor, sons Daryl (Dorinda) of ONT, Matthew (Paula) of Windsor, daughter Shannon (Luke) McCarthy of Falmouth, 9 grandchildren, 2 greatgrandchildren, stepdaughters Nicole Marsters and Megan (Tim) Lavers, 1 step-granddaughter, brother Joseph of Hantsport, sister Mary Redden of Windsor, several nieces and nephews, mother and father in-laws Alfred “Sonny” and Margaret Rennie of Antigonish.
Besides his parents, Peter is predeceased by his first wife Rosalie Batherson and twin sister Anne.
Cremation has taken place, there will be no visitation or service respecting Peter’s wishes. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
