On Monday, May 16, 2022, at God’s appointed time, our Heavenly Father called home to himself our dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Albert Smouter, at the age of 80.
Beloved husband of Helena (nee Bremer) for 57 years. Much loved father to Cathy & Gerald Bosscher, Karen Mans, Sharon & Paul Van Sydenborgh, Deb & George Alkema, Jennifer & Rick Lof, Eleanor Schulenberg, Albert & Michelle Smouter. Dear Grandfather and great-grandfather to Ryan & Alyssa (Theodore), Sarah, Andrew & Laura (Jaimee, Landon), Rebecca & Jordan; Kim & Ben (Beckham, Brooks); Jessica, Brad, Justin, Jordan; Warren, Denise & Blake, Joel & Kyla (April), Dean Van Sydenborgh and Jaymee Vanderwoude, Beth, Paige; Thomas & Jen (Rose), Jesse, Jacob, Benjamin, Luke, Gabrielle; Brianna & Josh (Hannah♰), Alex & Madison, Ashley & Alex, Cameron, Marissa, Victoria; Brooke & Edward, Caleb, Emily, Eli, Nate, Nadia; Angelina, Kierstin, A.J., Izabelle, Quinn, Scott, Matthew, Adam.

Visitation on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at EBENEZER CANADIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 607 Dynes Road, Burlington, where the Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. Private Family Interment will precede the service at Greenwood Cemetery.
Donations made to Guido De Bres Christian High School in memory of Albert would be appreciated by the family.
