Carl’s Obituary
Hardwick, Carl Percy – 81 of Outram, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born in Outram, he was a son of the late Percy and Ethel (Bent) Hardwick. Carl was an active volunteer with Annapolis County Ground Search and Rescue for many years, starting with them back in 1969. He was recognized for his professionalism and support during the SwissAir 9/11 Operation. The Canadian Red Cross thanked him for his dedication and service during Operation Parasol. When he wasn’t volunteering, he enjoyed deer hunting and was a member of the Cornwallis Club. Surviving are his brothers Hartley and Shannon, both of Outram. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his partner, Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Robar and his brother Clifford. Graveside funeral service will be held 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 21, 2022 in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton. Rev. Dr. Danny Smith officiating.
