Morton Aaron Katz

After a long illness, on Monday, April 25, 2022, at the age of ninety-five. Proud father of Janis and Barbra. Beloved partner and companion of Poh Lin Ho. Dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Norman and the late Betty and the late Sylvia Katz, the late Bernice and the late Bernard Rogers. He will be fondly remembered by his many cousins, nieces, nephews, family and all who knew him. Morton was a Chartered Accountant for seventy years, honoured as a Fellow of the Order of Chartered Accountants in the year 1999. He was an enthusiastic tennis player and a long-time devoted attendee of Canadiens hockey games. The family would like to express their gratitude to Morton’s caregivers, Delinda Muñoz, Helen Cabacungan, Angelita Aquino, and Lydia Rivera, for their devotion. Heartfelt gratitude to the staff of CLSC Saint-Henri for their support. Special thanks to Joanne Marchitto and the late Tony Filoso who worked with Morton for over forty years. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, April 27 at 12:15 p.m. Burial at the Baron de Hirsch Community Foundation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at his home Wednesday following burial from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Masks are mandatory. In lieu of gifts or flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
