HORVAT, John
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 9, 2021 surrounded by his family. John leaves behind his loving spouse of 36 years, Maria Carmela Sordello and daughter Elizabeth Debassige (Edward) and his two beloved grandchildren Catherine and Isabella. John will be fondly remembered by his brother in-law Joe Sordello (Rosalia) and sister in-law Rose Alampi (John) and his many family members.
Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., Toronto, south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. A private funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish (60 Allan Drive, Bolton) on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Private entombment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (8361 Yonge Street, south of Hwy. 407).
Any guests wishing to attend John’s visitation are welcome to come. Under current provincial restrictions, guests are required to book an appointment to attend the visitation. You may contact Edward, John’s son in-law at (647) 983-7797 to RSVP. Relatives and friends may join the family virtually, via Zoom. Live streaming of the visitation will begin on Thursday starting at 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Due to COVID-19, all events are restricted to a specified number of attendees. Visitors are asked to arrive on time or to remain in their vehicles until their allotted time and are required to wear a face covering and practice social distancing.
