Obituary of Yvonne Shirley Yeager
April 20, 1941 – November 18, 2021
Yvonne Shirley Yeager (Wurzer, née Mitchell), aged 80, of Cranbrook, B.C., passed away on November 18th, 2021. Yvonne passed in her sleep at her home, where she was being cared for by her daughter Gayle and son-in-law Ralph.
Always a tenacious person, Yvonne fought hard against the ravages of age, and managed to keep a smile on her face throughout. She had her sense of humour and wit during her last few years of health issues. Yvonne was born in Castlegar, B.C., on April 20, 1941. Yvonne was a teacher in Cranbrook for 30 plus years.
Mom raised her six surviving children whom she devoted her life to Wade, Warren, Brent, Gayle, Bryan, and Heather. She was also the proud grandmother of ten Griffin, Maxim, Georgia, Sydney, Jacob, Kaitlyn, Nicholas, Savannah, Henry, and Hadley. Yvonne loved nothing more than being around her children, grandchildren, and young people in general. Mom and Gramma will be deeply missed by all of us and in our hearts forever.
Her family would like to thank Home Health Services, the Red Cross, and the Salvation Army for their assistance.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. No formal services as per Yvonne’s wishes.
