Obituary of William David Campbell
Campbell, William David, 88 of Granville Ferry formerly of Parkers Cove passed away December 19, 2021 in Digby General Hospital, Digby. Born in Parkers Cove he was a son of the late Charles and Mabel (Shipp) Campbell. Bill opened his garage in 1966 and was the first mechanic in Nova Scotia to receive the Red Seal. He ran the garage until he retired in 1998. Bill sang in the Parkers Cove Baptist Church men’s choir and was a member of the Dukes of Kent. He hosted many jam sessions at his home. Bill is survived by his wife of sixty years, Lavaughan “Bonnie” (Sarty), daughters, Dawn (Richard) Vroom of Clementsport; Nadine Campbell-Barteaux (David McCormick) of Clementsvale; son, Scott (Michael Rudd) of Kentville; grandchildren, Courtney Daniels, Jordan and Shaunessy Barteaux; brother-in-law, Jack Ellis. He was predeceased by sisters, Doreen Ellis, Lillian Gesner and Doris Caswell. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday from the Parkers Cove Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff George officiating assisted by Pastor Colin McMahon. Burial will be in the Parker Mountain Cemetery. COVID Restrictions apply. Proof of vaccine, masks and social distancing mandatory.
