MOSELEY, William Murray ~ 75, of Nicholsville, Kings Co., passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 17, 2021, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, surrounded by family. Born in Cornwall, Ontario, on September 23, 1945, he was the son of the late Marion (Moseley) Frost and Clarence Frost of Yarmouth, N.S. Bill went to sea as a teenager and moved to the valley in 1967 working for Cornwallis Dairy delivering milk and then for Perry Rand Limited as a school bus driver. In 1978, he went back to sea aboard the scallop dragger, The Lady Janice II, for Comeau Seafoods in Meteghan, retiring in 2000. Bill’s passion for hunting led him to a 45-year career with the Department of Natural Resources on special projects involving studies pertaining to wildlife management. He was responsible for creating, implementing, and instructing the first Nova Scotia Fur Harvesters Trapping Course. Bill was the recipient of several awards from the department of Natural Resources and the Fur Institute of Canada. Bill is survived by his wife of 53 years, the former Beverly Rockwell; daughters, Denise (Troy) Gracie, Kingston, NS, and Leanne (Brent) Buckler, Iqaluit, NU; grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua and Emma Gracie; Macayle, Keelan, Grayson and Brennan Buckler. Also surviving are brothers, Gary, David, and Kenny Frost; sisters, Donna LeBlanc, Sandra Cook, Lynda Miller, Debbie Thibeau, Karen Frost and Susan Frost all of Yarmouth; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by a brother, Bobby Frost; sisters, Carol Nickerson, Beverly Frost and Barbara Frost. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., on Friday, July 30, in Morristown Cemetery, 6557 Aylesford Road, Morristown, with Rev. Chad Clements officiating. Public gathering restrictions will apply and you’re welcome to bring a chair or umbrella. Donations in memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Trappers Association Bursary Fund, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
