(May 10th, 2021 at 94 years of age). Beloved husband of 71 years to Irene “Rene” (Nee Stollar). Cherished father of Jeffrey Konrad and wife Ellen, Nancy and husband Robert Janisse. Loving grandpa of Brian and wife Keira, Johnathan and wife Hannah, James, Katherine. Adored great-grandfather of Myles, Maiya and Alexander.
Brother of the late Mary Schmaltz and the late Flight Lieutenant Frank Konrad (1956). Brother-in-law of Evelyn and the late Lynn “Tokey” Ryan, Mary Stollar, the late Emil “Duke” and wife the late June Stollar, the late J. Edward and wife Leanne Stollar. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
Bill retired from Imperial Oil of Toronto in 1981. He was also a member of the board of directors of APPD and active in other community groups. Bill was a prolific painter, writer and poet.
If you so desire, donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
On Thursday, a private family service will be held, and a livestream link of the service will be available on Bill’s online profile Thursday at 3pm.
When conditions permit, a more traditional and inclusive Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held at a later date.
