William Donn Kirton
May 18, 1934 – July 20, 2021
Surrounded by his loving family, Donn passed away quite suddenly on Tuesday. He was predeceased by the love of his life, Norine; his parents William and Violet Kirton; siblings Norman, Gary and Gloria and step-siblings Peter and Betty. Donn is survived by his children, Noralee, Kathy (Brian), Carol (Roger) and Bruce (Linda); grandchildren, Mike (Megan), Kyle (Kelsey), Jason (Jess), Vanessa, Thomas (Amrit) and Gen; great- grandchildren, Gavin, Logan, Mason, Bella and William and his best pal, TC (The Cat).
A longer obituary will follow on the Mosaic website next week but for now we would like to share this. Dad has written a daily newsletter to his kids and grandkids everyday for six years, sharing family news, positive thoughts and a joke of the day. He wrote this in 2018 and tucked it away in his favourite chair for us to share on his passing. If you knew him, you can hear his voice.
Greetings Dear Loved Ones
I know you didn’t expect to be hearing from me…But you know how it is with an old ham like me…Hey I’ve got a captive audience..
I am not going to tell you a corny story but I do want you to know how much I love each and everyone of you…I want you to know I consider myself to have been the luckiest guy in the world…To have been surrounded by such a loving and caring family…Wonderful friends and neighbors..So please don’t mourn my passing…Celebrate my many blessings..As I mentioned I won’t bore you with any of my corny stories no matter how tempted I may be..But I would like to leave you with a little laugh..Tee hee..
I gotta go now because I got a date with an Angel..Goodbye Boys and Girls. HO HO HO
At Donn’s request, there will be no formal funeral but his hope was that you would call up a friend to recall some stories and share some laughs.

We would like to thank CJOB and everyone for their kind words and shared memories. Dad would be humbled and pleased. Thanks also to Dad’s kind neighbours, especially Tracy, for all their help.
