Obituary
William “Bill” BLAIR
Bill, age 87, passed away at Park Ridge Nursing Home on June 24, 2021. He was born in Leoville, SK on January 30, 1934. He was one of two children born to Gordon and Edna Blair. He married Clara, the love of his life, on January 30, 1960 and together they owned and operated Sutherland Radiator for many years. He always welcomed family and friends through their door. He will be remembered for his ability to take useless junk and make it work for something else. He was always busy doing one thing or another at the cabin, shop or in later years home. He always believed in the goodness of others and would lend a helping hand when needed. He is loved and remembered by his sons: Kelvin (Lynn), Brian (Aurelie), Gordon (Karen) and Glenn (Loretta); twelve grandchildren: Colin, Wendy (Colin Hamp), Sean, (Taylor), Andrew, Christian, Michael, Matthew, Arin, Jamie, Baylie (Connor McLaren), Veronica (Robert Stanviloff) and Travis; four great-grandchildren: Bridgit, Ethan, William and Benjamin; a step-brother James Blair, step-sister Mary Blair; as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his daughter Bonnie, his wife Clara, his parents, his sister Shirley and step-mother Doris. Those so wishing may make donations in Bill’s memory to Park Ridge Centre, East Ridge 1 (110 Gropper Cres, Saskatoon, SK S7M 5N9). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 5, 2021 at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, (211 Avenue O South, Saskatoon) with Fr. Mick Fleming, CSsR as celebrant. Rite of Committal to follow at Woodlawn Catholic Cemetery.
