The passing of Viola Eunice Greenfield of Fredericton , NB , wife of the late Maurice Greenfield occurred on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on May 29, 1923 in Rusagonis , NB , she was the daughter of the late Dell and Ruth (Phillips) Noble. Viola retired from Bookkeeping at Gunter’s Flooring. She was a member of Nashwaaksis Baptist Church ; a life member of Senior’s Women’s Missionary Society and a member of Keen Seniors, the Ladies Hummingbird Group, and she held her sixty year pin with the Ladies Orange Benevolent Association #423, Rusagonis , NB.
Viola is survived by her daughter, Helen Anderson (Robin) of Kingsley, NB; daughter in law, Betty Ann (Vautour) Greenfield; grandchildren, Ken Anderson (Tanya) of New Maryland, NB, Wendy Odell (Derek) of Whitby, ON, Brian Greenfield (Nicole), David Greenfield (Amanda) and Karen Boyle (Jamie) all of Fredericton, NB; great grandchildren, Ian and Eric Anderson, Erin and Evan Greenfield, Tyler and Adam Boyle, Rachel, Malcolm and Chelsea Odell, Henry and Hayden Greenfield; sister, Helen Moore of Rusagonis, NB; sister in law, Anna Noble of Rusagonis, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Viola was predeceased by her son, Ronald Greenfield; great granddaughter, Madalyn Boyle; sisters, Hilda Noble, Gladys Agnew and Pearl Hovey; brothers, George Noble, Ernest Noble and Robert Noble.
Due to the current health issues all Covid 19 protocols will be in place for the visitation which will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service by invitation only will take place from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 10 am with Rev. Chris Bennett officiating. Public are welcome to register to view the live stream at www.yorkfh.com. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery . In lieu of flowers, remembrance may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation. Personal condolence may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
