If we could have a single wish
And never have another
It would be for one more hour
And spend it with our Mother
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our Dear Mother, Vida Mary Raymond at the Bonnechere Manor in Renfrew, on March 7th, 2021, with her three daughters by her side, in her 90th year. Beloved and devoted wife of the late Sylvester Raymond. A wonderful, kind and loving mother to her three daughters Janie (Greg Durocher), Marlene (George Campbell) and Delaine (John Collin). A very proud and caring Grandmother to Brandon (Michelle), Jordan, Jarred (Francine), Corey (Erica), Carley (Rod Sinclair), and Jeffrey and Justin (Erin Laverty). Great grandmother to 15 great grandchildren. Vida’s devotion and love for her Family, will be remembered and cherished for ever. We will miss her dearly but we have a lifetime of beautiful memories to remember her by. Daughter of the late Michael Gallagher and the late Martha Ann McGuire. Sister-in-law of Jean Gallagher and Eileen Gallagher. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses: Earl (Eileen) Gallagher, Elmer (Phyllis) Gallagher, M.J. Gallagher, Loretta (Don Reid//Lyman Durocher by first marriage) Eunice (Ellard Tackney) and Francis Gallagher. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews who truly loved and will miss their « Aunt Vida ». The Family wishes to sincerely thank the caring and compassionate Staff of the Bonnechere Manor in Renfrew. Although Mom’s stay at the Manor was for only a few months, we knew Mom was in very capable, gentle and loving hands and for that we are most grateful. The Family also wishes to acknowledge Chartwell Pinewood Retirement Home. The loving and caring staff made it possible for Mom to truly enjoy 6 wonderful years at the Home. The Family will always cherish the many memories of Mom’s final years spent there, and for that we are most grateful. Vida’s strong Catholic Faith now leads her directly to Heaven – where she so rightfully belongs. The family will receive relatives and friends at the

on Friday from 2-6 p.m. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, Chapeau on Saturday, March 13th, 2021 at 11 a.m. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, St. Joseph. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Charity of your Choice would be appreciated.
