Lindsay Robert Vickress
Sept. 15,1957 – Dec. 05,2021
“A Life that touches others goes on FOREVER”
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Lindsay, at home with his wife Susan and his children Ashley and Jason whom he loved more than anything in this world. He showed such courage, strength and heroic determination in his long battle with his illness.
Lindsay was our Rock, he lived such a full and wonderful life. He just got sick and left us too soon. He was such an enthusiastic sports fan. He loved all sports and played hockey for most of his life. He coached his son’s hockey and basketball teams and was forever involved in his daughter’s figure skating life.
Lindsay was a devoted father to his daughter Ashley and son Jason and could not have been a prouder DAD.
He loved the outdoors, swimming at the beach, camping and sitting around a campfire with his friends and family was his world.
He graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1981 with a Bachelor of Mathematics and enjoyed a very successful career in Computer Science from a Software Developer to a Systems Architect. He took great pride in his work, enjoyed tackling difficult and complicated problems and was never afraid to speak his mind.
Lindsay will be sadly missed by his loving wife and children, his brothers, and in-laws, his many nieces and nephews, his wonderful supportive family, friends and neighbours and his loving mother in-law and family overseas.
He will be re-united with his parents Vyvyan and Albert his father in-law Ray and his baby daughter Robyn.
