Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday November 13, 2021, at Campbell House Hospice at the age of 85. Verna of Creemore, beloved was predeceased by her beloved husband John (2020. Loving mother of Nancy (Bill), Rick (Deborah), Brian, Brenda (Tom), Carol (Steve), Mitch (Linda) Dwayne (Gerry), Greg (Pam), Janet (Randy), Jonathan (Patti). Proud grandmother of 24 grandchildren, and dear great grandma of 36 great grandchildren. Verna was born in Nottawasaga Township to parents Harold & Reta Weatherall, she is survived by her brother Doug (Elsie) and sisters in law Marie and Alberta; predeceased by her 3 brothers.
Verna was a founder of the Creemore Figure Skating Club and was active at both the old and new arenas in Creemore. She was always involved in the community, helping others when and where needed whether delivering for Meals on Wheels or canvassing for Heart & Stroke or the Cancer Society. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. Cremation has taken place and a service will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Georgian Triangle – Campbell House would be appreciated by the family.
