It is with broken hearts, we the family, are sad to announce the passing of Vance Veinot a resident of Tillsonburg on March 29th, 2021, at the age of 71. Much loved husband of 50 years of (Rose) Rosemary (Evans) Veinot and loving father and father-in-law of Eddie (Amanda) Veinot of Calgary, Alberta. Vance was anxiously awaiting for the arrival of his first grandchild, a granddaughter, in July, 2021. Survived by brothers: Carl Veinot (Debbie) and Joe Veinot, all of Nova Scotia and his sisters: Bernice Fritz (David), Nova Scotia; Joan Bent (Arthur), Nova Scotia; Faye Kyriakakis (Louis), Alberta; Debbie Aker (Donald), Nova Scotia; and Diane Marshall (Scott), Nova Scotia. Predeceased by his parents: Edward Veinot (1991) and Mabel (Smith) Veinot (1999). Lovingly remembered by his in-laws: Linda (Larry Schmeltz), Tillsonburg; Jackie Graham, Courtland; Barb Kriston (Bob), Oshawa; Brian Evans (Kim), Vienna; and many nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by his mother-in-law and father-in-law: George and Frances Evans; brother-in-law Wayne Evans.
Vance was a dedicated employee at DeCloet’s Tillsonburg for 34 years, working his way up from the delivery of tobacco kilns to company Vice-President (under Gabe DeCloet). In his spare time and after retirement Vance enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and the NASCAR races.

Vance will always be remembered by many for his wit, jokes, humour and stories.

Cremation has taken place. To honour Vance’s wishes there will be a private family gathering.
