It is with heavy hearts that the family of Tyler Brooks of
St. Mary’s First Nation announces his sudden passing on
August 25th, 2021, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born on March
25th, 1994, he was the son of Tom and Phyllis (Cormier)
Brooks.
Tyler was an avid Montreal Canadians & Moncton
Wildcats fan and enjoyed spending his time cheering for his teams. He
played ball hockey and was a former goalie in the Fredericton Youth
Hockey Association. He loved his side by side; car shows and his cars
Black Betty and Subie were his children.
Tyler is also survived by his second parents, Sherry (Brent)
Greffard and Mark Maillet; grandparents, Catherine and Aurele Maillet;
his partner and significant other, Destiny Wood; sister, Susanne
(Kenny) Lapointe; brothers, Carson Maillet and Braden and Ethan
Greffard; neices, Sonya, April and Amanda Lapointe; special neice,
Cambrie Brooks; nephews, Myles-James Sherwood; godparents, Walter
Brooks and Tracy Gallant, as well as several much loved aunts, uncles,
and cousins.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Cecile
Cormier and Aguila Cormier, paternal grandparents, Tina Ernestine
Brooks and Mark Brooks, as well as several aunts, uncles, and
cousins.
Tyler will be resting at the Maqiyahtimok Center 240 Maliseet
Drive St. Mary’s First Nation with visitation beginning
Thursday August 26th at 12 Noon until Friday August 27th. A
celebration of Tylers’s life will be held at the
Maqiyahtimok Center at 2pm on August 27th. Interment in St
Anthony’s Cemetery will follow the service. A
reception will follow the interment at the Maqiyahtimok Center
Center.
Pallbearers will be Hart Brooks,
Phillip Paul, Blake Paul, Quentyn McCormack, Braden Greffard and Ethan
Greffard.
