It is with great sadness that the family announces his sudden passing in Mindemoya, on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the age of 68 years. Tony is survived by his wife and best friend of over 39 years Karen (née Plaunt) Jocko. Tony was born on December 21,1952 to the late Kenneth and late Annie (née Tongue) Jocko. Father to Jennifer Jocko (Brad) and Derek Jocko (JoNeal). Grandfather to Logan, Selena, Bruce and Haddon. Predeceased by his step-father Jean Roch Lambert, brother Bruce “Nuffy” Jocko, sister Agatha “Mitzi” Whalen, sister-in-law Sharon Jocko, and nephew Aaron Jocko. He will be sadly missed by his brother-in-law Jack Whalen, niece Patsy Ely, nephews: Vince Jocko, Kriston, John and Peter Purdy, sisters-in-law: Arlene Plaunt-Tessier (Gord) and Donna Young (Mark), nieces and nephews: Jeff Tessier (Beth and Abby), Emily Robinson (Dalton and Max), Kassandra Young (Shane) and Cole Young (Amanda). Lovingly remembered by many who have had the privilege of knowing Tony. Tony would say “All our friends and little buddies, 2 legged and 4 legged.”. The family of the late Tony Jocko has been given the honour of having a “Celebration of Life” at the Anishinabek Nation Head office, 1 Migizii Miikan, Hwy 17 West, North Bay, Ontario at a later date.
