Todd Nicholas
Todd Nicholas, 59, of Golden
Years Estate, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont
University Hospital Centre on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.
Born in Botwood, Newfoundland, he was the son of the
late Pearce Clarence Nicholas and Prudence Ramona (Freake) Nicholas.
Todd enjoyed watching hockey games and football on TV,
especially Superbowl Sunday; long drives in the country where he
didn’t know where he’d end up, just loved the
drive where he could roll down the window and enjoy the freedom in
that moment. He always enjoyed songs sung to him (especially old
hymns) and books read to him. He truly enjoyed spending time with
friends for coffee, sometimes a burger and just to talk. Most of all,
he enjoyed spending time with those he loved, either in person, or by
phone call.
Todd will be sadly missed by his life partner and best
friend, Beverly Legere; stepdaughters, Cara Grace Legere and Laura
Marie Legere; grandson, Izaac David Morang and siblings, Philip
Nicholas (Tracey), Trent Nicholas (Tracy) and Stephanie Smith
(Weldon).
Sadly missed, as well, by his friends that meant the
world to him, Ken & Yolande Doucet, George Gamble, Louise
Lavoie and Shane Fitzsimmons.
He will also be sadly missed by those at the
Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, who became, over the years, very
special friends and family to both himself and to Beverly, especially
those on the 4F unit and the Dialysis unit.
In honoring Todd’s
wishes, there will be no visitation hours or funeral service.
