Pettipas, Thomas Alexander – 82 of Saint Andrews
and formerly of Linwood passed away Sunday, December 12th at St.
Martha’s Regional Hospital in Antigonish after a courageous

Dad was a 45-year member and long-time captain of the
Tracadie Holy Name Society. He was also one of the founding members of
the Tracadie and District Volunteer Fire Department and Tracadie

Dad was especially helpful to seniors in the Linwood area and was
known as the community repairman.
Dad worked as steel rigger in his early working years, he
then ran a Fina service station in the 1960’s in Linwood.
After that, he spent time as gravel truck and dozer operator, salt
truck operator, bridge-painting crew foreman, and just before
retirement, as a fisherman’s helper. However, Dad was his
happiest when in the woods with his 4-wheeler cutting and hauling
firewood.
