Obituary of Theresa Raymond
RAYMOND: Thérèse (Theresa) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Portal Village Retirement Home on Friday, July 23, 2021 in her 100th year. She is lovingly survived by her 5 children, Yvan (Tina), Claude (Elaine), Denise Della Ventura, Daniel (Rita) and Ginette (Mark) McCormack. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, Evan (Michelle), Reno, Dean, Chris (Sarah), Steven (Jennifer), Mike (Karen), Philip, Chad (Lauren), Hope (Mike), Matthew (Alexandra), Joshua (Lauren), Jordan (Meaghan), Mimi (Dean), Michael (Chelsea), Gloria (Randall) and Jonathan (Cassie) and 28 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Rodolphe and Diana Soucy, her brothers, Edouard, Elphège and Maurice, her husband Lucien and her grandson Brian. Thérèse moved to Port Colborne in 1952 from Princeville, Québec. She had a strong determination in any endeavour that she would undertake. She was very proud to have worked at the Port Colborne General Hospital for 20 years and especially her years in the CSR. She was an amazing seamstress and loved knitting and crocheting. Her sense of humour and her feisty personality will be missed. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. A Private Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at Overholt Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne.
