Obituary
Thelma Turner Cameron
1933 – 2021
It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Thelma Turner Cameron, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother on Sunday January 31, 2021 at the age of 87 years. Thelma is survived by her two daughters, Linda (Doug) Janssen of Red Deer and Laura (Alan) Rowley of Clive; Grandchildren, Victor Snell, Elizabeth Cronin, Brent Rowley, Dwayne (Danielle) Rowley, Bradley (Jennafer) Rowley, and Shane (Kaylee) Rowley; her Great-Grandchildren, Malakeye, Viktoria, Michael, Luke, Austin, Cheyanne, Jace, Levi and Colton; Nieces and Nephews.
Thelma was predeceased by Baby David 1958, Bob Cameron 1988, and Brother Ray Hick 1998.
Thelma was born August 8, 1933 in Calgary, Alberta (which just happened to be her sister’s birthday too). She married Bob (Gordon E) Cameron May 3, 1952. They lived on many farms, all in Alberta and finally settled in Lacombe for many years. She also lived in Red Deer and Stettler and returned to Lacombe to be near family. Covid restrictions of visitors were a detrimental factor during her last year. Thelma was a very independent, hard working lady with a determined faith.
Special thanks to the staff at Lacombe Long Term Care for their care and attention.
A celebration of her life will be held later at the Queens Cemetery, Calgary.
Donations in Thelma’s memory may be made to Lacombe Long Term, Lacombe Health Trust, PO Box 5663, Lacombe, AB T4L 1X3. lacombehealthtrust.com
