Parry, Terence William « Terry »:
Passed away peacefully in the afternoon of October 28, 2021, at the age of 84. Terence will be remembered as the loving spouse of Rosalind Rampersad. He was a step father to three and step grandfather to five. He will be missed by his sister Eira Neads of Wales, UK, and by his nephew Nicholas Neads of London, England.
He was born to Jack and Kathleen Parry in Wales, United Kingdom. Terry joined the British Military at 18 and was deployed to Malaya. When he returned, he received his degree at St. Luke’s College and shortly after immigrated to Canada. He spent his working life as an educator in the Halton Region. He was fortunate enough to become a published educational consultant, and toured the world sharing his breadth of knowledge with fellow educators. In his retirement, he was able to spend more time sharpening his skills and reveling in his passion as a watercolour artist. He was known to spend his money on the greater things in life, traveling and building a life full of memories and experiences. These memories are cherished dearly by his family and friends and will serve to provide a lasting legacy in the years to come.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration honouring Terry’s life will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021, at 10:30 AM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. The family invites their guests to join them for a light reception to follow. Guests are required to RSVP to attend the service and reception. By request of the family, guests are asked to wear a touch of red in memory of Terry. Those who are unable to attend the service are invited to join the family via live stream with a video tribute beginning at 10:15 AM on Friday, November 5, 2021, at www.henrywalser.com/live-streaming.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
