Obituary of Ted Muzzell
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edward John Muzzell (Ted) of Owen Sound, Ontario, at Chapman House, surrounded by his loving family, on August 19, 2021, in his 87th year,
January 9, 1935 – August 19, 2021.
Ted epitomizes by 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8
Love is patient, Love is kind
It does not envy, it does not boast

Devoted husband and best friend of Dorothy Doreen Muzzell (McRoberts) for 65 years, July 21, 1956.
An extraordinary husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Father of Evonne Taylor of Arcadia, Oklahoma, Judie Noseworthy (Kevin) of Francis Lake, Ontario, and Joyce Nelson (Chris) of Urbana, Ohio. Grandfather of Keith Taylor (Julie), Amy Luck (Taylor), Bonnie Muzzell (Andrew), Janine Lawrence (Jimmy), Jennifer Plahovinsak (Mike), Sern Christian Nelson (Cassandra) and Jonathon Nelson. Great grandfather of Brandon & James Taylor, Taylor & Kennedy Counahan, Boston Covington, Luke & Kenzie Bishop, Olivia Hess, Aiden Lawrence, Evonne & Stephanie Plahovinsak, Rosalie, Sern & Fenix Nelson. Ted is dearly missed by his sister-in-law Gerri Muzzell, Allan (Donna) Muzzell of Owen Sound, Muriel (Jack) Kellough of Goderich, Ethel (John) Freeman, David (Lynda) Muzzell of Owen Sound, Albert (Sandra) Muzzell of Chatsworth. Predeceased by his son John Muzzell, brother Ronald Muzzell, parents John & Jessie Muzzell and son-in-law Richard Taylor. Ted was the heavy duty mechanic for the city of Owen Sound for twenty-two years, retiring on January 31st, 1995. He was known to his friends as a hard worker, one who could always be counted on regardless of the circumstances. Ted loved traveling through Canada and USA on his motorcycles and then RVing in the winter months in Oklahoma and Texas. Ted loved attending the Owen Sound Attack hockey games, spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family wishes to thank Dr. Chapman and Dr. Barker as well as Care Partners team members and Chapman House staff for their outstanding support at this difficult time. Donations to Chapman House Hospice or Grey Bruce Care Partners in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated and can be made through the funeral home. A private memorial service will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home on Saturday, October 23, 2021. Although the service is private, it will be livestreamed via the funeral home website at 1:00 p.m.
