Suzanne Esther Matheson (nee Insley)
Passed away on June 26 2021 at age 74. One month ago, to the exact day, she was predeceased by her beloved soulmate and husband of 53 years, Donald Matheson. Cherished mother of Jason (Ginette) and Aaron (Deirdre). Adored grandmother of Zachary, Lucas, Alyssa and Chloe. Loved sister of Richard (Bonny).
Suzanne was born and raised in Point Anne ON and was a proud graduate of Belleville General Hospital School of Nursing. Suzanne was a nurse at Kingston General Hospital for most of her long career. She worked for many years in the renal unit, and later in the cancer clinic. Being a nurse meant everything to her and she touched many lives through her compassion for others.
Suzanne had a big heart and was friendly and welcoming to all she met. She would do anything for her friends and family and was fiercely loyal and affectionate. Suzanne had a wonderful sense of humour and entertained many with her numerous stories and memories. She was also an excellent cook and quilter: jars of strawberry jam and beautiful quilts were shared with all.
Family meant everything to Suzanne. She was our rock and our heart. We miss her more than words can say.
A celebration of life for Suzanne and Don will take place at a later time.
