Stanley Joseph Kendell
Stanley Joseph Kendell, 89, of Milltown, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021 at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center, Grand Falls-Windsor.
Born in Milltown he was the son of the late Philip and Martha (Kearley) Kendell. Stan was a great provider to his family and will be remembered by all as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a friend to many.
Stan was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the Canadian Army in the Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) of Canada and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion #61.
Survived by his wife, Gussie (Sheppard); children, Shirley (Clyde) at Milltown, Stanley Kendell (Margie) at Fort McMurray, AB, Marilyn (Wayne) at Houston, Tx; Lisa (Rodney) at Dartmouth, NS, and Denise at Conne River; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Joy; and his siblings, John, Wilson and Bessie.
In celebrating Stan’s life, the family will receive visitors on Saturday, July 31, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm; on Sunday, August 1, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm; on Monday, August 2, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Christ Church in Milltown.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 3 at 2:00 pm at Christ Church in Milltown with Rev. Hubert Vallis and Rev. Roy Simms officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Milltown.
Flowers or Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation are welcome.
The Family would like to make a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls for all their special care to Stan over the past month.
