Drinking Bacardi Rum and Pepsi while watching curling on TV
Dancing on the Heisler Hotel Bar or on tables at house parties
Basking in the sun come every spring
These are a few of my favourite things
French onion soup, rack of lamb and calamari served scalding hot
Attending broadway musicals or going to movies
The music of Whitney Houston, Michael Bublé and Queen
These are a few of my favourite things
Playing bridge and aquasizing
Afternoon reading that turned into napping
Traveling the world and loving to sing
These are a few of my favourite things
Our mother Colette Mary Slavik was an astute, free-spirited, fun-loving, super organized, feisty firecracker. She was a strong, fiercely independent woman who once flew across the ocean by herself with four children, two in diapers at the time. Her strength of character was the backbone of a military family who made 10 major moves in 20 years including two overseas to Germany. Thankfully Colette was very healthy throughout her life and passed away peacefully after a sudden, but brief illness. Colette was predeceased by her husband Bob, mother Catherine, father Ambrose, brothers Adolph, Delmond, Verner, Goar and sister Gwen. She is survived by her son Bradley (Gail), son Wesley, son Steven and daughter Maria (Eric) and her grandchildren Hayley, Cameron, Raya, Kirsten, Meredith, Peter, Andra and Joel. A Celebration of Life will take place sometime in the future, when it is safe to do so.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de SLAVIK Colette Mary nee Kroetsch April 6 2021..
