Obituary of Shirley Ida Mildred Pearcey (Stuckey)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Shirley Ida Pearcey (Stuckey). Shirley was surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Care Center in Botwood.
Predeceased by her husband Edward Pearcey; Parents Titus and Mamie Stuckey; Grandson Jeremy Hampton; brothers-in-law Robert Farr, Walter Schoefer and Don Martin; Sister-in-law Catherine Stuckey.
Left to mourn are Shirley’s loving and caring five daughters: Debbie (Peter Hampton), Donna (Craig Dawe), Deana (Troy Humber), Denise (Rene Lavoie) and Danielle (Bubba Mcintyre); seven grandchildren Josh (Kristina), Jordan (Jazmin), Andrew, Brandon, Olivia, Keira, and Noah; two great grandchildren Mya and Ava; Brothers, Willie (Jocelyne), Edmund (Stephanie) and Derrick (Wanda); Sisters, Ruby Martin, Ina Schoefer (Bill), Beatrice (Dan Dobes), Peggy Farr, Margaret (Ken Cunningham), Judy (Gord Chubbs) Dianne (Harold Desrocher), Sandra (Chris Bragg), Cathy (Glenn Steeves), and Brenda (Chris Pelley). Also, many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends.
Special thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of Western Memorial Hospital, Health Science Centre, Central Regional Hospital and the Dr. Hugh Twomey Centre for their care and compassion.
Visitation will take place Thursday, September 2, 7:00-9:00 at Hoskins Funeral Home on Water Street in Botwood.
Funeral service will take place Friday, September 3, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Hoskins Funeral Home. Due to covid restrictions attendance for the funeral service will be by invitation only. For those who are unabel to attend the service, it will be live streamed from the Hoskins Funeral Home – Botwood facebook page.
Interment to be held at the Windsor Pentecostal Cemetery on Park Street, Grand Falls-Windsor immediately following the service.
Flowers are welcome and donations may also be made to the Parkinson Society of Newfoundland and Labrador in Shirley’s late husband’s name Edward Pearcey
