Shirley Winn Stephens Friday October 1st 2021

WINN, Shirley (nee Stephens)
Passed away peacefully in her sleep with family by her side at St. Andrews Terrace long term care home on October 1, 2021, in her 98th year.
Predeceased by her husband Robert(1996) also her great grandson Alex and son-in-law Bernie. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Virginia Ball (Bill) and Janeen Hancocks, her grandchildren Mike, Scott, Leah, Brad, Ben and Erin. Her great grandchildren Mike Jr, Megan, Kyle, Emily, Abbey, Charlotte , Elizabeth and Ben. Her great, great grandchildren Ryder and Rowan. She will also be missed by her dear sister Gerry Bell.
Shirley was a veteran and served in the army during WWII. She worked for many years at Allen-Bradley ending her time there in the catalogue department. She was always involved in sports in her younger years including speed skating, baseball and bowling. She loved the game of golf and spent many hours on the course with Bob. They also took many trips in the winter to warmer climates. She also travelled with her sister Gerry after they both lost their husbands. She loved animals and always enjoyed petting any dog she happened to see. She enjoyed a long and happy life but had been waiting a long time to be reunited with Bob. I’m sure he had golf clubs waiting for her.
We would also like to thank the staff at St. Andrews Terrace for the wonderful care and kindness they have shown Shirley, it truly felt like home to her.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a private family service on October 16, 2021. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Cambridge Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
