Brown, Shirley (nee Ali), Born September 2nd, 1944 Princes Town, Trinidad.
Shirley passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at the age of 76. She is survived by her husband Michael Brown, sons Nicholas and Graham Brown, daughters-in-law Jamie and Jennifer Brown, her beautiful and much loved grandchildren Malcolm, Simon, Abigail and Penelope, step-grandchildren Mark and Anthony, all her International Gospel Centre Sunday School Children from the last 30 years, along with her many friends. Sadly missed by her sisters Sheila and Angela in Trinidad, brother-in-law Peter in England, along with her much loved nieces and nephews in Trinidad and England. Shirley, always a devoted and faithful disciple, will meet and join her sisters, brothers, parents, friends and relatives in heaven – where she will continue her work as the earthly Angel she was here on earth – in Heaven. A long battle with her illness didn’t prevent her from the love, care and devotion she had for her family, always using her strength and faith to help those in need. Humble and strong – her faithful spirit will live on in those whose lives she touched with kindness, care and love – a beautiful, gentle and strong lady who never wavered with her trust in our Lord. Spiritual mother to our whole family. Our deepest gratitude for the wonderful care she received from the ‘Angels in the room’ at both Innisfree and Lisaard Hospices.
A Celebration of Shirley’s Life will be held at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener, from 5:30-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 26, 2021.
