Shirley and Herman built a new home in 1956 where she happily lived 65 years. Her sisters and brothers were best friends and companions in adventure.
Shirley played sports and owned a business. As a young girl she enjoyed baseball and school. Later in life she skied, golfed, and traveled throughout Canada and the US. In the early 1970’s, she and her friend Jenny James started the Cat’s Whisker craft business in Wallace. Upon closure in the mid-70s, she owned and operated The Sunflower in Tatamagouche until 2011. Through her business and employees, she made many friends and memories.
