It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Sheila Marie Drake of Marystown, announce her passing. Sheila passed away peacefully at her home, on Friday, June 18, 2021, at the age of 68. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her three sons; Alexander (Jennifer) of Marystown, Jason (Theresa) of Marystown, and Patrick (Nadine) of Kelowna BC; 6 grandchildren, Logan, Tanner, Alexa, Caiden, Max, and Emme; sisters, Theresa Drake (Randall) of Fermuse, Sylvia Hillier of Fortune, Sara Pittman (Anthony) of Fortune, Marion Ackinson (Terry) of Nova Scotia, Diane Martin (Lester) of Lamaline, Violet Daly (Paul) of Ontario; brothers, Alexander (Bud) Boland of Fortune, Eric John Boland (Sharon) of Point May, Ricky Boland of Lamaline, Jerry Boland (Theresa) of Lamaline, Charlie Boland (Caroline) of Lamaline, and Dion Boland (Donna) of Marystown; brother-in-law Raymond Brake (Karen), Marystown; very special niece Jackie Lasure (Jay); brothers-in-law, John Drake (Mary) of Marystown, Joe Drake of Marystown, Ray Drake (Irene) of Marystown, Wish Drake (Joan) of Marystown, Fred Drake of Marystown, and Brian Drake (Judy) of CBS; sister in law Lillian Dober (Arch) of Marystown, Anne Peterson (Gary) of Marystown, Lee Stacey (Russ) of Marystown, Kathleen Letiec of Marystown, Brenda Hannam (Chris)Marystown, and Trish Power (Brendan) of Spanish Room plus a large circle of nieces, and nephews.
Sheila was predeceased by her baby girl Nicole, and loving husband Patrick Drake of 47 years; parents, Alex and Carmel Boland; sister, Olivia Brake; sister-in-law, Edna Boland; brother-in-law, Gerald Letiec; brother-in-law, Frank Hanlon, sister-in-law, Rita Drake, and parents-in-law, Austin and Angela Drake.
The family would like to thank Katrina Lafosse, and Linda Gover for their incredible care provided to Sheila. The family would also like to thank Jennifer Barter and Sabrina Grandy for the End of Life care provided to Sheila in her final days. The Drake family would also like to say a special thank you to Sheila’s sister-in-law, Brenda Hannam for all her love, care and help during this last year, it means so much.
The Drake Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Marystown on Saturday, June 19th from 6-9pm and Sunday, June 20th from 10am-12pm, 2-4pm & 6-9pm.
As per COVID 19 regulations, only 20 people can be in the funeral home at a time and everyone is asked to sign the contact tracing sheet upon entering the building and masks are required.
Please note that there is no food permitted in the funeral home during Covid.
In Sheila’s memory, donations may be made to the family, or flowers gratefully accepted.
“God saw you getting tired a cure was not to be. So he wrapped his arms around you and whispered “Come unto me”.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, June 21st at 11am.
Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marystown.
