Sheila Lynn Bourque
We, the family of Sheila, « Mom » « Nanna » are heartbroken to announce her passing on January 28, 2021, with her loving husband and daughter by her side. Sheila was a daughter of Olga (Beck) and the late Ernest MacLeod. She is survived by her husband, Ron; son, Robert (Alva); daughter, Ashley (Garry); grandchildren, Ty, Layla, Ahava, Katelyn and Avro; sisters, Donna, Marsha (Allan); brothers-in-law, Bill (Shirley), Donnie (Jackie); nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Ernest and brother, Loyn. Sheila was born in Prince Edward Island, but lived most of her life in Nova Scotia. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. She worked in various departments within the Nova Scotia provincial government until retiring as the Senior Procurement Officer after 35 years, and was known for her dedication, work ethic and commitment. Sheila was passionate about photography, travelling, cooking and baking. She could be found at any event with a camera in one hand and a delicious treat in the other. Sheila loved making new friends and had an infectious smile that would light up any room. She was a gentle soul who always found the good in people. Sheila was an amazing and wonderful woman. She was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend, who was taken far too soon and will definitely be missed by all who knew and loved her. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life and family burial will take place at a later date. Donations in Sheila’s memory can be made to Canadian Blood Services or the Canadian Liver Foundation.
