Selma Luxenberg
Peacefully, on Monday, July 19, 2021, in her eighty-eighth year, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late Louis. A very special mother and mother-in-law of, Florence and Eli, Marv, Debbie and Danny, and the late Esther. A loving Bubby who taught all her grandchildren to play chess. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Jonathan and Natalie, Joshua and Maria, Etan and Michelle, Nathaniel, Erin, Ryan, Daniel, Alissa, David, Loucie and Ronnie. Proud great-grandmother of Nevo, Carmel and Libbie. Devoted sister and sister-in-law of the late Dorothy and the late Bernard Tash, Ruth and the late Leo Katz, Carl and Gertie Katz; the late Molly Cantley and the late Tommy Cantley, the late Ruth Sklar amd the late Louis Sklar, the late Shirley Luxenberg and the late Laz Luxenberg, the late Shirley Luxenberg and the late Joe Luxenberg, Mary Luxenberg and the late Abe Luxenberg. Selma will be missed by her many nieces, nephews. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Selma’s devoted friends of many years, Claire and Mireille. The family wishes to thank Selma’s caregivers of many years, as well as, Alice, Gloria and Taddy. Further, we’d like to thank the incredible staff of 5 North at Maimonides Geriatric Centre, the staff in the ICU and palliative care unit at the Jewish General Hospital.
