Sean passed away suddenly from and unexpected cardiac event in his home July 19th, 2021 in Cobourg, Ontario. Sean was born in Huntsville, Ontario to Jean and Ross. Growing up, he spent most of his time with family and his two best friends Ryan and Andrew, outside, on the lake and in and around hockey rinks. In 1998 Sean attended Queen’s University to become a civil engineer where he met Jodi and a group of lifelong buddies. In 2006, Sean and Jodi got married and started their family. Sean will be remembered for his kind and generous nature, his infectious smile, his love of the outdoors and all things sports. His love of the lake and sailing was matched only by his hatred of dock spiders. Sean was always willing to lend a hand and would otherwise be tinkering in his workshop – fixing, building and chopping anything that needed to be fixed, built or chopped. For instance, he just finished building a beautiful cedar strip canoe with wood harvested from his property. He loved spending time with his friends, family and especially his children and was always ready for the next adventure. Sean will be remembered by his children Ben, Maddy & Andrew, wife Jodi, mother Jean, father Ross, sister Cindy, grandma Lillian, Aunt Ruth, Uncle Jim and family. He will also be remembered by his in-laws Paul & Cathy Hazell, their daughters Megan, Martha & Emily, sons-in-law Anil, Adam & Andrew, and his nieces and nephews Rose, Foster and India. Sean’s family would like to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to all the attending paramedics, firefighters and police. There will be a private celebration of life. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Huntsville Minor Hockey Association (PO Box 5044, Huntsville, Ontario P1H 1A0) or alternatively in true Sean spirit take some time off of screens or away from make–work projects and go do something you love with friends and family.
