Russell’s Obituary
PATEY Russell – age 65, Yarmouth, formerly of Port-aux-Basque, NFLD., passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Port- aux- Basque Newfoundland, on August 7,1956 he was a son of the late Ross and Gertie (Keeping) Patey. Russell will be remembered by his many friends in the camping community for repairing their Campers and RV’s. He loved his animals and being outdoors, working the land around his camp. He is survived by his wife Shirley; Sons, Russell, Daniel (Stacy) both of Yarmouth as well as Robert and Todd from Port-aux-Basque, NFLD grandchildren TJ and Karie; brother Steve; Sisters Anne, Liz (Donnie), Gladys (Blair), Loretta (Chris) and Alice (Tony). Aside from his Parents, he was predeceased by Paternal grandparents Robert and Annie Patey, Maternal grandparents Fredrick and Sarah Keeping, a son, Derick; granddaughter Whitney and sister Susan. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date with Burial in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth. Memorial donation can be made to Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke or The Gilles Boudreau and Friends Cancer help fund.
