Ruby Jean Anderson, age 93, of Waasis, NB, passed away
peacefully on Saturday, August 7th, 2021, surrounded by her children
and grandchildren.
Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible
verse, Ephesians 4:32 — « And be kind and
compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also
forgave you in
Christ. »
Ruby was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured
her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved
her role as Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She had a vivacious
personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends
everywhere she went and everyone that met her loved her. She was an
avid game player and no matter how she felt when the game board came
out she was always up for « a game ». Until her
health made it impossible, she handmade beautiful quilts for her
children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ruby was active in
both the the Pentecostal and Baptist churches.
She is survived by one son: Ray Anderson of Toronto, ON; five
daughters: Rose Johnston of Fredericton, Sherry Warren of Rusagonis,
Lynn Peters of Rusagonis, Nancy Anderson of Waasis, and Eileen Daigle
of Wabush, LB; grandchildren: Steven Johnston of Hanwell, Michael
Johnston of Fredericton, Susi Warren of Rusagonis, Vicki Warren of
Rusagonis, Peter Warren of Rusagonis, Stephanie Peters of Rusagonis,
Joshua Peters (Juri) of Fredericton, Ben Anderson of Memramcook,
Marysa Labrie (Sebastian) of Halifax, and Yvon Daigle (Sarah) of
Wabush, LB; great grandchildren: Jessy Brown, Peter Warren, Luke and
Amber Saunders, Jo Peters, Gabriel, Michael and Ruby Labrie; and many
nieces and
nephews.
Ruby was predeceased by her parents: Basil Ashley Porter and
Marguerite McGuire; brothers: Harold, Ernie, George, Charlie and
Rankin; and sisters: Myrtle Stickney, Margaret McDonald and Joyce
Foreman; as well as son-in-law David Johnston.
Please join us in celebrating the life of Ruby Anderson at
the Rusagonis Baptist Church, 4 Whittaker Rd, Rusagonis.
Public visitation will be held at the Church on Wednesday, August
11th, from 12:30 until 1:30. The service will be held
following the public visitation at 2 pm. Private Interment
to follow in the Scotch Settlement Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Ruby has requested that memorial
contributions be sent to Mission Work. Bishop’s
Funeral Home (458-1885) has been entrusted with the arrangements.
